SUBJECT: UPDATES TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) GUIDANCE FOR CHILDCARE PROVIDERS AND PROGRAMS

Provider Information Notice (PIN) Summary PIN 22-28-CCP informs child care licensees and providers of updated California Department of Public Health COVID-19 Guidance for Child Care Providers and Programs, dated October 21, 2022. This PIN supersedes PIN 22-07-CCP and PIN 22-10-CCP, in their entirety.

On October 21, 2022, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) published updated COVID-19 Guidance for Child Care Providers and Programs. This CDPH guidance supersedes the COVID-19 Guidance for Child Care Providers and Programs, dated March 12, 2022. This PIN supersedes PIN 22-07 CCP and PIN 22-10- CCP.

The updated guidance announced in this PIN was developed in collaboration with the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD), and informs child care licensees and providers and the families they serve about infection control processes to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
